The Brüder Mannesmann HSS thread cutting set is designed for model making and cuts very small threads. A normal set does not cover such fine threads.

Material and equipment

Included are 2 HSS taps each in sizes M1.0 to M2.5, specifically M1.0, M1.1, M1.2, M1.4, M1.6, M1.8, M2.0, M2.2 and M2.5, plus 1 HSS die each and 2 adapter discs for holding the taps. The fact that each drill is present twice is useful for these diameters, as such fine tools break easily.

Area of application

Ideal for model making, precision mechanics, watchmaking, RC technology and electronics when cutting fine threads. Work with very little force and with cutting oil, as drills of this size break immediately if they jam.
